Employee Profile – Megan Bender

May 12, 2020

Megan Bender is an Environmental Technician with AET and spends most of her workdays overseeing recycling quality audits in the City of Toronto.   Municipal waste and recycling operations are essential services for residents and businesses.  Megan’s role in monitoring the composition and quality of recyclables is an important component in the continued execution and administration of the recycling processing contracts, which ensures materials can continue to be collected and recovered.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, all non-essential staff are working from home, but not all jobs can be done at home. Megan, along with her co-workers at AET, are taking extra precautions in the field to ensure, not only their safety, but the safety of the people around them. This includes increased use of PPE and practicing physical distancing measures.

Megan has demonstrated exceptional understanding, flexibility and reliability over the last couple of months as we all adapt in these uncertain times.   Thank you, Megan, for your hard work and dedication.
