Validation/Verification Accreditation
AET Group Inc. (AET) is an accredited Validation and Verification Body under ISO 14065 by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). This accreditation permits AET to complete validation and verifications of Organization Level and Project Level greenhouse gas statements in the following sectors:

Impartiality
AET is committed to conducting its verification and validation services in an impartial and transparent manner, free of conflicts of interest. AET conducts a thorough review (during the pre-engagement phase) to prevent acceptance of any engagement that may create a threat to impartiality or a potential or actual conflict of interest. Throughout any stages of the project, should a potential threat to impartiality or conflict of interest be identified, AET shall work to determine mitigation measures, if applicable, or determine that AET is not able to carry out the assignment to provide adequate impartial third-party GHG verification and validation services.
AET encourages feedback from any party, client, stakeholder, or members of the public regarding any matter that may be construed as a threat to AET’s impartiality in provision of its verification and validation services.
Complaints and Appeals
A complaint is an objection to a decision taken by AET. Where a complaint, has not been resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant, an appeal can be submitted. The complaint shall include the following information:
- Name of the complainant/appellant.
- Name of organization, where relevant.
- Contact information for the complainant/appellant.
- Details of the complaint/appeal.
- Declaration of any conflict of interest in submitting the complaint/appeal.

Complaints and appeals are managed by an independent internal process, independent of any technical project work who will review the complaint or appeal to determine if the complaint is related to verification or validation services that AET is responsible for.
