AET Group is an environmental consultancy firm committed to our ecological, financial and social responsibilities, working together collaboratively to find innovative solutions that work and remembering that underneath it all, we’re human beings working with other human beings to make a difference both locally and globally.
Founded in 1998 with a focus on waste services, we have diversified over the past 25 years to provide environmental consulting, auditing and scientific services to the built and natural environments in 12 core practice areas: air, compliance, building sciences, mitigation, GHG, waste, sustainability, audits, water, management systems, home flood protection and energy. Our emphasis at AET has been sustainable solutions – as a service to clients, throughout our own operations and day-to-day practices.
We are a dynamic, fast-growing company with an expanding network of clients throughout Canada, United States of America, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. We employ 40 people in 2 offices across Ontario to deliver projects with high standards of environmental protection and sustainability that protects the water we drink, the air we breathe and the earth in which we live.
Our multi-disciplinary approach and application of innovative and environmentally sound solutions enables any size and type of organization, both locally and globally, accomplish their project objectives or resolve their environmental issues effectively and efficiently.

Our History
Founded in 1998, operating as Associated Environmental Technologies, AET has been providing sustainable solutions for over 25 years. Since 1998, AET has grown from a solid waste management consulting company to a sought after, multi-disciplinary environmental consulting, auditing and scientific services firm. Today, our clients benefit from our continued growth and expansion of services in several technical areas.

- AET completed the acquisition of Kuzuka Ltd., an Exeter-based environmental consulting firm specializing in providing Greenhouse Gas and Sustainability Solutions to both the public and private sectors across North America.
- 2012
- AET completed the acquisition of Manitoba-based Earthbound Environmental, a Canadian environmental consulting firm specializing in providing integrated waste management services to both the public and private sectors.
- 2009
- AET completed green retrofit of head office and relocates in Kitchener, Ontario.
- 2008
- AET Consultants completes merger and amalgamation with EcoServices, Eco2 Systems and Integrated Green Building Concepts to form AET Group.

- AET Consultants celebrated 10 Years in Business.
- 2001
- Associated Environmental Technologies was renamed to AET Consultants.

- Associated Environmental Technologies was founded by Scott Freiburger with a focus on solid waste management programs for the construction/demolition and ICI industries.
