Interactive Training – Integrating ISO 14001 and the Natural Step

The work included the development and delivery of an on-line, interactive training program on the topic of integrating ISO14001 and the Natural Step.  Both systems provide a way of managing environmental risk and lessening an organization’s impact on the natural environment.  The course asked participants to understand the background and intent of each system.  Once this was understood, overlapping areas/commonalities were identified as natural easy approaches to unite the two approaches.

Exercises (“homework”) were assigned at the end of each 2 hour weekly session until, after 4 weeks, participants were ready to unite the best of both systems at their workplace to improve their environmental performance.
