Sub-slab Depressurization System
Location: Cambridge, Ontario
Client: Ministry of the Environment
Date: Ongoing
AET has gained specialized knowledge and insight in the application of sub-slab depressurization technology (SSD) to mitigate various forms of vapour intrusion scenarios. In the Bishop Street Project, SSD systems are installed in homes to mitigate Trichloroethylene intrusion. SSD technology is also widely used for other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and radon gas mitigation. AET has expert experience in the design, installation, monitoring and maintenance of these systems in pre-existing residential and commercial/industrial buildings. With a certified radon gas mitigation expert on staff an and many municipalities mandating SSD systems within amended building codes, AET will continue to assist property owners with the design of robust systems that protect human health and families.
