Eaton is a diversified industrial manufacturing company that employs over 100,000 people at more than 250 manufacturing facilities around the world. For the past six years, AET Group has been a subcontractor on the team conducting a third-party verification of Eaton’s global sustainability data metrics, including energy consumption, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, waste generation, and water consumption. These GHG verification efforts have contributed to Eaton being named to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) leadership index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index over the past several years.

AET Group has also been a subcontractor on a project to develop and implement an audit protocol for Eaton’s global list of manufacturing facilities that are designated as ‘zero-waste-to-landfill’ (ZWTL). The ZWTL audits are a voluntary effort by Eaton to improve its performance in this important environmental impact. The ZWTL audits review the following: accuracy of the waste disposal data from the facility, confirmation that appropriate waste management procedures exist and are being implemented, and review of evidence to confirm landfill diversion is occurring.
