Fitwel
Fitwel Certification can be a great way to show tenants and staff how your company is working towards improving tenant health and well being.
What is Fitwel?
Fitwel is a health and wellness building certification that is science based. Gaining popularity for its ability to track health-related ESG impacts and allow assets to be compared against each other, Fitwel also enhances the value proposition of an asset. By optimizing health within an asset, tenants or staff are positively impacted. This results in higher occupancy rates, increased referral rates as well as an increased Return on Investment (ROI). Fitwel also ties in well with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) planning, helping fulfil the Social (S) pillar.
Fitwel certification focuses on seven impact categories:
- Impacts surrounding community health
- Reduces morbidity and absenteeism
- Supports social equity for vulnerable populations
- Instills feelings of well being
- Enhances access to healthy food
- Promotes occupant safety
- Increases physical activity
